Judge Seizes Teen's Web Biz
from the making-money-the-illegal-way dept
What was this kid thinking? Some snotty teen ager decided to start up a "discount" web hosting company. However, he also decided that the way to make money in doing so was to charge customers extra for extra bandwidth. Of course, he did this entirely arbitrarily. People were pissed off. Hell, I'd be pretty damn pissed off if I signed up for a $10 web host and got charged $10,000 for "extra bandwidth" after getting 48 hits (yes, 48). A judge has now frozen the kid's assets, but no criminal charges have been pressed.
