P&G Experimenting With Smart Packaging

from the it-knows-when-you-pick-it-up dept

P&G is apparently experimenting with smart packaging that will know the second you pick a product up off the shelf - and if you put it back. It's not hard to see how this could be done, but the problem is that it's probably too expensive to do on a bigger scale. However, inventory demands and improving the supply chain are things that are very important to P&G and many retailers. I wonder if P&G will report on any of the results from the tests.

I am an Oklahoma City journalist doing a feature article on the dot com burnout. I would appreciate feedback and input from anyone who has had personal experience with the boom AND the bust, and would be willing to have me quote them. Contact me at tworthen@okgazette.com.

Hi Trebor. At the very least you could have included a comment on the P&G smart packaging article you were responding to...

It's nice that you think Techdirt readers might have a comment for your article, but don't you think you should have chosen a more appropriate way to get info out of our readers?
