In The End Harry Potter Owns eToys
from the it-all-comes-down-to-that dept
It appears that Harry Potter publisher, Scholastic, has won the rights to all of eToys inventory for $8 million - about 30% of its official value. They're also looking at buying some of eToys technology to help launch their own e-commerce initiatives. It's interesting to see a nice "old economy" publishing company (weren't they supposed to be destroyed by the internet?) come along and scoop up what's left of a failed dot com.
