New York Times Discovers Dope Wars
from the welcome-to-the-club dept
Over a year ago I was happy that there was finally an article about Dope Wars so I could talk about it. Now, the New York Times has written the same story everyone does when they first discover the game Dope Wars. They talk about how many people have downloaded it, how it's popular among stock traders, and how it's really just a buy-low, sell-high trading game. Then, of course, are the obligatory quotes from people with serious sounding titles about how it's destroying our culture. These are obvsiously people who have never played the game.

FYI
If you like Dope Wars, you might also like Dave Webb's Solar Wars, which changes the theme from drugs to space trading and adds a bunch of user interface enhancements. And then you might like my own version of Solar Wars which adds even more interface enhancements.
