It looks like the AIBO craze isn't just about techies getting the latest gadgets, people seem to be buying these robots as substitutes for real pets. So much so that they feel real emotions for them. I guess it might be similar to the emotions that Apple Mac users have about their machines because their cute and endearingly useless (I know bad joke)!
