P2P via Microsoft

from the stop-it-already dept

Zakk writes "Just when Napster's foes thought it was safe to venture back into the water, along comes this puppy, XOutlook, a tiny piece of code that lets users of Microsoft's popular e-mail program instantly share files on their hard drives with anyone over the Internet. Is this the beginning of the end for copyright as we know it, or will the Redmond giant stomp all over this threat to its purity?" With all the hype coming out of Demo 2001 this one seems to be getting the most publicity. I'm not convinced it's that big of a deal.
