Hyping Robots
from the PR-and-BS dept
So now mobile robot sales are expect to reach $17 Billion by 2005! Sounds great, but of course there's a catch. The sister company of Activmedia Research (the company that produced the report) also happens to be a manufacturer of mobile robotics technology and they both share management (hmm?). I think the robotics field is ready for a boom (so I agree with the report in some areas) but this type of questionable report really does smell of hype.
