Fugitive Swallows Mobile SIM Card

A fugitive on the run from a French corruption scandal apparently swallowed the SIM card from his mobile phone in order to avoid having it taken by the police. It's not clear exactly what he hoped to accomplish in getting rid of the card, since records of his phone calls are held by the telecom company and not on the card.
