Dot Coms Still Raising Money
from the who-woulda-thunk-it? dept
It's apparently still possible for some dot coms to raise money. While most money these days seems to be going towards wireless, infrastructure or software plays, a few dot coms are still finding VCs willing to give them money. The thing I found amusing, though, was the quote from the CEO of JustBalls.com (which sells sports equipment online) which makes it sound as though the fact that they raised money shows what a good company they are. I would think the ability to make money (profitably) would show that better than being able to sucker some VC into shelling out $13 million.
