UK Broadband Still Clogged
from the BT-has-nothing-to-gain-from-being-fast-but-everything-to-lose dept
Apparently OFTEL, the UK telecoms regulator announced that it was speeding up urban broadband deregulation (which has been a long time coming). Broadband connections are available in major UK cities but unbundling at urban local loops have been slow and will probably continue to be. So unless the UK government creates a real telecoms regulator, one that can enforce policies rather than just make empty announcements.
