Dot Com Going Non-Profit
from the changing-business-models dept
There have been jokes about how dot coms really should be called non-profits, but apparently, one dot com is taking that seriously. They've decided to switch from being a regular dot com to a non-profit. Of course, in the process they laid off all their workers. It's also funny that an analyst quoted in the article seems to think this is such a good idea, that they'll have to go back to being "for-profit" in a few years.
