A Profitable Dot Com
from the what-do-they-have-in-common? dept
A few weeks back we had a story about a profitable dot com. Now, here's an article about FragranceNet, which is also a profitable dot com. What do the two sites have in common? They couldn't raise venture capital, so they couldn't overspend. Instead, they had to be scrappy businesses and figure out how to build revenue and create sustainable profitable businesses. I'd say that these two companies were both lucky they didn't end up with venture money, or they'd both probably be gone by now.
