Who Cares About Web Services?

Here's an article predicting that web services are the next big thing. I thought it's especially amusing that at the beginning of the article they admit that most customers just don't care about web services now. Yet, it's still supposed to be the next big thing? Whatever happened to finding out what your customers actually need?

    News flash, the Web is already about services. Most of this new crap is unnecessary, created for the purpose of ensuring that only the big boys have a chance of deploying the massive hunk of software needed to implement it.
