Interface Wars
from the the-next-15-years dept
MSNBC takes a look at three of the "new interfaces" that are trying to take over the world. They compare Mac OS X, Microsoft's .NET, and Eazel's Nautilus. They note that all three have many of the original Mac team involved in some way. Having played with both OS X and Nautilus, my first impression is that both are doing some things to make UI's better, but I'm not yet convinced that they're going to change the world. Chances are it's going to be some random, unpredictable reason why any one of these really catches on.
