If You Can't Trust An Application, What Can You Trust?

Whistler seems to include a "feature" that won't run applications unless they have an approved digital signature. Isn't that special? While it *might* sound like a good idea at first, I don't think anyone who actually uses non-MS software would ever want to turn this on.
