Teen Girls Not Much Of An Online Market
from the bad-predictions dept
An in-depth look at the many (mostly struggling) companies that are (or were) looking to make lots of money off of internet plays aimed at teenaged girls. Apparently, the market simply is not developing. I actually don't find this to be that big of a surprise. Most of these sites sound like any "niche" site out there - most of which have no clear business model other than to focus on what they think a stereotypical member of that niche wants. Of course, to make matters worse, while perhaps teenaged girls have some expendable income, it's probably not that significant (at least not for major purchases).
