Every time you turn around someone is trying to put computer science and biology together. From search engines that model the behavior of ants to the internet resembling neural networks, it's almost getting ridiculous. Well, here's another analogy for you. Why not make computers evolve a more efficient network by mimicking bacterial sex? What they don't tell you is that genetic algorithms have been around for almost 20 years. But doesn't it sound cool and exciting when you say computers are *mimicking sex*?
