Exodus To Buy Global Center

A few months back this was a hot rumor. Exodus was going to buy Global Center. The deal fell apart, though, because Global Crossing (Global Center's parent) wanted too much. Apparently, that's no longer the case, as the two companies are set to announce a merger for about $6.5 billion (approximately the same price they had discussed in the past). I guess Global Crossing realized that things weren't getting any better. Well, there goes one more choice when it comes to a colo facility. The thing is, most people I know who use either company can't stand the service they get. I wonder how bad it will get as they try to combine operations.
