TRUSTe Caught Breaking its Own Rules
from the actually,-not-that-big-a-deal dept
News.com seems very happy that they've caught TRUSTe breaking their own rules by having cookies on their site that are not discussed in their privacy policy. However, if you look at the details, you realize it's not quite what it sounds like. TRUSTe just started using Internet.com's theCounter, which does use cookies. TRUSTe didn't realize this was happening, and within minutes of being contacted they fixed the problem.
