The Computer of 2010
from the designed-by-Forbes? dept
Forbes ASAP has tried to design the computer of 2010. It's definitely worth reading about, but I have to wonder why a magazine such as Forbes feels they can create this computer. It will be fun to look back in 10 years and see how accurate they were, though. Also, the problem with any of these predictions is that they tend to be linear. They take what's going on now (and maybe a few experimental things) and extrapolate into the future. There's no way to account for some huge change that makes all those other things seem obsolete. Then again, to be honest, computers really have not changed all that bunch between 1990 and now.
