Work For Your Ads Part II
from the keep-on-trying dept
Back in May I complained about the idea of putting special barcodes in magazines that could be scanned with a special handheld scanner in order to later view the associated web page. I wondered who hell would actually have incentive to get a scanner. The answer is no one, but Forbes Magazine solved the problem by sending every subscriber a free scanner. Seems a bit costly, though they say they've already recouped the cost with advertisers willing to test out the new system.
