Broadband Problems
from the DSL-and-cable-both-suck dept
Everyone I know complains about their DSL and their cable modem service, but mostly about installation (for example: the DSL installation technician who nearly electrocuted himself in my living room and still couldn't get the service to work). Now there are complaints about the actual service once it's hooked up. A class action suit is being filed against SBC for limiting data rates to 1/3 of what was promised. Meanwhile on the cable modem side are all the recent complaints about blocking VPN use on home machines.
