More Domain Screwups
from the yet-another-one dept
Register.com has made the latest screwup in the domain registering world. When a domain was transferred recently, Register.com accidentally put the domain back in the "available" list and someone else bought it. Register's response? Tell the real owner "too bad" and give him back his $70. The case is going to court. Well, at least this time it's not Network Solutions who screwed up, though I'm sure they've done similar things.
