New Altavista

from the search...just-search...-please.. dept

Altavista has launched a new beta site. It seems to have more results, and is pretty fast. Unfortunately it still has all that stupid eCommerce stuff all over it.... (no I don't want to buy a book from Amazon on "Jennifer Lopez"). What I want in a search engine is a text box and a search button! Give Google a couple of months and they will ruin their site as well.

    Why don't they dust off their marketing books and make another version of the site called simple.altavista.com? Why? Give the people what they want. Why not? Because no one would use their other site.

    Um Brian... Raging Search is just AltaVista simple... they did that a while back. It's okay, I know you've been busy, so I'll forgive you.
