More Intellectual Property Lawsuits
from the damn,-this-is-popular dept
This site is turning into only stories about intellectual property. That seems to be the popular topic of the week. Well, here's a story that's not about the Napster case or the DVD case, but about the eBay-Bidder's Edge case. I'm still surprised that the decision in this case (from about two months ago) didn't make more news. Now, though, some well known attorneys have filed an amicus brief saying the decision would hurt the internet greatly. If you happened to miss this case, the judge basically said that Bidder's Edge, in surfing eBay to get prices to be displayed on their own site, had really been trespassing on eBay. Yes, it's a very silly decision.
