Stock Slavery
from the are-we-all-just-slaves-to-the-machine dept
Pretty much everyone (unless they've been living in an underground cave for the past five years) has an opinion about stock options. Employers like it because it locks in employees and makes them work harder. Employees like it because they think they'll make some big money off of it and those not involved with the dot com gold rush don't like it because of that little green eyed monster called Envy. Okay, maybe I dramatized it a bit but here's a pretty fun article comparing stock options to virtual slavery in the industrial days. What do Techdirt readers think about Stock options, heaven or hell (especially in the days of the dot bomb)?
