SalesForce.com Asks Ellison to Leave the Board
from the not-a-surprise dept
I was really surprised when Mark Benioff left Oracle to found Salesforce.com that he asked Larry Ellison to join the board (and to invest $2 million of his own money). It seemed obvious at the time that Oracle would be heading in that direction eventually themselves. Now, they have, and Benioff has asked Ellison to resign from the board. They're still friends, though, according to Benioff. This is all very Silicon Valley, whre your friends work for (or founded!) your competitors.
