The UK Unmetered!

from the it's-been-a-long-time-coming dept

It looks like the dam has broken for BT (the UK's near monopolistic telecom company), as regulators have ordered that they allow MCI Worldcom to have access to local loops to provide unmetered internet access to home users by Thursday. To be honest, I'm suprised at how fast the regulators have moved because BT has been fighting this move really hard (I guess now they have no choice, GREAT!)
