Web Access on Cell Phones Very Popular in Japan
from the i-mode-gets-some-publicity dept
For a while now I've been hearing about the Japanese i-mode phone. Friends of mine who follow all this wireless stuff closely keep raving about it, but you almost never see any news articles about it. However, Wired just published an article about cell phone use in Japan that says it's quickly becoming the most popular way to access the web. A lot of that is due to the i-mode, but some other Japanese companies are providing web accessible phones as well.
