Online Ticketing Problems
from the this-shouldn't-be-a-problem dept
People have always been annoyed at Ticketmaster for the way they handle their business, but now that they've moved online, it seems to have only gotten worse. This article makes it sound as if whoever built their online site didn't think through a lot of the issues that would come on in dealing with online ticket buying (if someone clicks to buy a ticket for a certain seat that seat should no longer be available for anyone else). I realize that some glitches are always going to happen, but the pattern of mistakes and glitches discussed here suggests that Ticketmaster needs to rethink some of their online sales technology.
