One Step Closer to Molecular Computing
from the is-that-crumb-a-supercomputer dept
Researchers have produced molecules that act as switches, wires and even memory components. The catch is that they still have to put them together to form a working computer and they don't yet have all the parts. However if someone (or company) is successful in doing this, it will usher in an era of unbelievable computing power provided by molecular nanotechnology. I'm obsessed with the prospects of Nanotechnology, if you thought the E-boom was big, the Nano-boom will knock it's socks off! Thanks to Nanogirl news for the link.
