Jermoluk Joins Kleiner Perkins
from the welcome-to-the-club dept
Tom Jermoluk, the former CEO of @Home, who stepped down from Excite@Home last week, announced that he is now the new general partner at Kleiner Perkins. This came as a surprise to me because I don't see Jermoluk as an investor, and really thought he'd go on to lead a new company. Jermoluk is famous for his reputation (dating all the way back to his SGI days) as a party-happy executive who made SGI have the feel of a fraternity rather than a business. However, he is also supposed to be extremely sharp. It will be very interesting to watch which companies he decides to put KP's money into. With many of the VC firms looking to land new general partners, KP will feel this demonstrates their ability to still land the high profile names.
