Andersen Consulting and Microsoft team-up

from the two-great-tastes-that-taste-great-together? dept

Andersen Consulting and Microsoft have agreed to form a new joint venture called Avanade (huh?). It will focus on delivering eCommerce solutions on the Windows 2000 platform. Microsoft is putting in $385M into the deal... Little did we know that AC was for sale, and for so cheap.

The funny thing is that there was a similar announcement made last month already.
Except Microsoft Ally was KPMG last time. (http://www.zdnet.com/sr/stories/news/0,4538,2435392,00.html)
If Microsoft is shopping around for getting closer in bed with all the big integrators, we may see a couple more of these deals.
