StarOffice gaining ground

from the corporate-wins dept

Jesper Ib writes "Unibank, Denmark's second largest bank, is ditching MS Office in favor of StarOffice (unfortunately the link is in Danish). According to CNN Denmark, the 6000-seat swap is expected to save the bank "millions" (Danish Crowns that is)." Well, it's an interesting story even if it is Danish (why does Babelfish not translate from Danish?). If someone comes across an English version let us know.

Fortunatly Intertran supports Danish just fine. Only problem with it is that it doesn't like CGI params as part of the URL, so it doesn't work with the news article. So I stuck a copy of the article on my own server and translated it there.

You can also just cut and paste the text from the article into the text translation box, in which case you get a typically oddly translated passage where you can sort of make out what happened.
