Spamhaus Responds To Spammer's Lawsuit

from the nice-try dept

Last month some spammers sued some anti-spammers. Amazingly, they filed an actual lawsuit, instead of just the "threat" of a lawsuit that so many anti-spam folks have come across sooner or later. Spamhaus, one of the anti-spam organizations named in the suit has responded to the lawsuit, picking it apart detail by detail. Reading through the specific legal complaint, it's clear that the spammers who put it together aren't really clear on what they're talking about, when it comes to stopping spam. They also seem to accuse people of doing things that they clearly haven't done. Hopefully, this case will get tossed out quickly. In somewhat related news, because we just don't have enough of these already, yet another politician is introducing an anti-spam bill.

Isn't it illegal in Florida to file ridiculous lawsuits?

Spamhaus should be awarded damages for having to deal with the crap that "emarketersamerica" spewed forth.
